Welcome to AH~ UKA — Where Korean Language Meets Culture and the Arts

At AH~ UKA, we offer a unique Korean language curriculum that sets us apart from traditional language schools. Our program is specially designed to immerse learners naturally into Korean through the vibrant worlds of theater, musicals, K-dramas, and K-pop.
This innovative curriculum is the result of decades of expertise and passion, developed collaboratively by two outstanding leaders:
CEO Hwang Soo Kyung is a pioneer in culture-based language education in Korea. She studied theater and musical arts in Seoul and New York and has spent 30 years as a stage actor, integrating performing arts such as theater and musicals into language learning.
Choreographer Kim Soo Han combines a deep understanding of both English and Korean with youthful artistic energy, helping to bring K-culture to life for learners worldwide.
Our approach is open, concise, and grounded in the scientific characteristics of Hangul, the Korean script, enabling learners to acquire Korean naturally and confidently. This method utilizes performance and cultural experiences to engage the whole body and mind.
With 25 years of leadership in culture-based English education, CEO Hwang Soo Kyung applies TESOL research to ensure our teaching methods produce clear and effective results.
Through acting out dialogues and singing songs from plays and musicals—artistic expressions that highlight the shared origins and unique cultural traits of English and Korean—learners enjoy a richer and more joyful path to mastering Korean.
At AH~ UKA, we believe that through Korean language education, K-culture enthusiasts around the world will gain a broader and more positive understanding and appreciation not only of Korea but also of the wider Asian cultural landscape.
Join us on this exciting journey and experience Korean like never before.
